A beautiful, well-decorated garden is not only aesthetically pleasing, but can be a healthy hobby to adopt as well. Nowadays most people have little space available in their homes to build a garden. However, now one can easily collect flowers from a good florist, even flower delivery service company is common now, and creates a portable garden in unusual containers.

It is not only a cheaper alternative but is also easier to maintain. Furthermore, one can even add their own personal touch to it. Below are a few ideas for unusual and upcycled container gardens.

  1. Toolbox garden

Almost everyone has an old toolbox somewhere stored at the back of their store. It can be easily spray painted with different colours and then filled with gravel and sand.

  1. Toy garden

Childhood toys can also be utilised for making portable gardens. Little toy trucks and buses could be filled with mud and small succulents. These little plants come in all shapes and sizes and now one can easily home deliver them through flower shop.

  1. Old tires

Old tires can be spray painted and lined over each another. It is better to use bright colours as they add a pop of colour to your garden. One can also choose the kind flower arrangement for it in order to personalise their garden.

  1. Old Kitchenware

Old pots and kettles which are not suitable for using in the kitchen anymore can also be used to make flower beds. Flowers and all sorts of plants for planting in it can easily be ordered from a florist online.

  1. Book planters

Old hardcover books are available on cheaper rates in old book shops or even amongst one’s own collection. Holes can be created in the middle and filled with little plants and colourful pebbles. They are also a good alternative to sending birthday flowers.

  1. Chairs

A broken chair lying in the garage can be transformed in to a garden container. The seat could be converted in to a container. Plus, the legs and back could be decorated with colourful flowers.

  1. Tote bags

Tote bags are sometimes available for free as promotional products on grocery shops. They can be hanged on the wall and decorated with plants.

  1. Bird cage

A bird cage is easy available everywhere and can be adorned with flowers. They can be easily hanged on the wall or ceiling.

  1. Tree Stumps

These can be excellent planters and will add a natural feeling.

Drawers from a broken bed side tables can be painted with pastel colours and filled with plants.

So instead of going to a flower shop and getting a dull container for your plant, create one yourself.
