Order Your Mother’s Day Flowers

When you are ordering flowers from a florist or from any of the renowned Flower Delivery services, just be sure to ask a few questions that will help you decide which flower to choose. Several times people who are ordering and getting flowers delivered for the first time forget to either ask or implement. This results in the flowers and money going to waste. So if you have already contacted your local florist, then either ask them this, or read on to know about the things you should keep in mind.

There are many things a flower delivery expert might forget to tell you or might assume you already know. But when you spend a large sum on getting a hamper delivery with roses, or a fruit basket with a handpicked bouquet or just a hand bouquet of expensive wild flowers for your mother, you have to keep the following in mind to ensure you are not making any mistake:

  1. Order your flowers when you know they are fresh. There is no point in spending a lot of money on a bouquet that will have parched or wilted flowers. Remember to always ask the vendor when the fresh stalk actually arrived.
  2. Sometimes people buy really beautiful flowers, like purple or white tulips, place them in a gorgeous crystal vase and leave the vase by the window. If you make that mistake, chances are your expensive flowers will wilt within twenty-four hours. So whenever you make the purchase, be sure to ask the vendor if the flowers can withstand the sunlight and how long they last. This will save you a lot of trouble.
  3. If you want to make your flowers last longer than they normally would, vendors provide tricks that can help you do that. The easiest tip is that you cut the stems of your flowers at angles and not straight. This allows better water absorption because of increased surface area. You should also change the water regularly. Dirty water makes flower wilt faster.
  4. Another mistake people make is that they immerse their flowers in really cold water. This is a bad call. So be sure that your flowers are placed in water that is at room temperature, unless your vendor tells you otherwise.

Flowers are costly, hence you have to make sure that if you are spending money on them it is worth your while.
